Size: 40cm diameter

Weight: Approximately 3kg

This one-of-a-kind platter reinterprets the Muel region in Spain's traditional blue-and-white ceramic heritage through a contemporary earthenware form.

Mudéjar refers to the artistic and architectural style developed during medieval Spain when Islamic design skills and patterns were used in buildings and decorative work under Christian rule.

The hand-painted blue detailing was created by one of Muel’s specialist ceramic painters, whose technique is becoming increasingly rare. With her retirement approaching, pieces carrying this particular hand-painting will become collectors' pieces.

Earthy, expressive and robust, this platter bridges past and present — a collectable artisan piece for interiors that value provenance, craft and individuality.
