FAQs

Trade Access

Who can shop with Bulila?

Bulila is a trade-only, by-application wholesale platform. We work exclusively with interior and hospitality designers, spas, boutique hotels, retail stores, property developers and related professionals. Our products are not available to the general public.

How do I apply for trade access?

Fill in the trade application form on the Bulila website. We review all applications and respond within 2–3 business days.

How long does approval take?

All applications are assessed and approved within 2–3 business days. Once approved, you'll receive access to the Bulila trade portal.

What happens after my application is approved?

Your account will be set up and you'll be able to log in to the trade portal to browse products and place orders.

I'm a general consumer — can I purchase Bulila products?

Unfortunately, no. Bulila sells exclusively to business customers. EU consumer protection laws, including 14-day cooling-off rights, do not apply to our transactions.

Ordering

How does the ordering process work?

Once your trade account is active:

  1. Log in and select the products you wish to order
  2. Bulila issues a proforma invoice outlining your order
  3. You confirm the order in writing
  4. A 50% deposit invoice is issued
  5. Once payment is received, Bulila places the order with suppliers
  6. When ready for dispatch, the remaining 50% is invoiced (including shipping)
  7. Once final payment clears, your order is shipped with a tracking number
When does my order become binding?

Orders are binding once confirmed in writing. At that point, a 50% deposit is required to proceed. Deposits are non-refundable.

What are made-to-order or EU-sourced products?

These are items sourced or produced specifically for your order. Once confirmed, they cannot be cancelled or returned under any circumstances. We will always make this clear at the time of ordering.

Can I cancel an order after confirming?

Once confirmed in writing and the deposit paid, orders are binding and cannot be cancelled. If you have a concern, please contact us at caren@bulila.com as early as possible and we will do our best to help.

Payment

What is Bulila's payment structure?

All orders are invoiced in two stages: a 50% deposit upon order confirmation, and the remaining 50% (including shipping) when the order is ready for dispatch. Orders are not dispatched until both payments have been received and cleared.

Is the deposit refundable?

No. Deposits are non-refundable.

When is the final balance due?

The remaining 50% — including shipping — is invoiced when your order is ready to ship. Payment must be received and cleared before dispatch.

Who owns the goods until payment is complete?

All goods remain the property of Bulila until paid for in full.

Shipping

Where does Bulila ship to?

We ship within Cyprus as standard. EU shipping is available on request — contact us to discuss your requirements and we'll confirm timelines and costs at the time of ordering.

How much does shipping cost?

For standard products (cushions, linen wraps, scent blocks) within Cyprus, shipping is a flat €35 nationwide. For all other products and EU orders, costs are calculated based on weight, size, and destination, and confirmed at the time of ordering.

How long does delivery take?

Standard Cyprus orders typically arrive within 3–5 working days of dispatch. Delivery times are estimates and Bulila is not liable for courier delays. EU and non-standard order timelines are confirmed at the time of ordering.

What if a delivery fails due to an incorrect address or absence?

It is the client's responsibility to ensure correct delivery details are provided and that someone is available to receive the order. Any re-delivery costs will be charged to the client.

When does risk transfer to me?

Risk transfers to the client upon delivery. Goods must be inspected within 48 hours and any issues reported immediately with photographic evidence.

Returns & Claims

Does Bulila accept returns?

Bulila does not accept returns for change of mind, over-ordering, or incorrect selection. Linen wraps and scent blocks may be considered for return in limited circumstances — see below.

How long do I have to inspect goods and report a problem?

All goods must be inspected within 48 hours of delivery. Issues must be reported to caren@bulila.com within that window, with your order reference and photographic evidence. After 48 hours, goods are deemed accepted in full.

What if my order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect?

Contact us at caren@bulila.com within 48 hours with your order reference and photos. We will assess the situation and may offer, at our discretion, a replacement, repair, or credit note. Refunds are not automatic.

Which products can never be returned?

The following are non-returnable: one-of-a-kind and limited pieces once unpacked, made-to-order products; and items not returned in their original condition and packaging.

Can linen wraps or scent blocks be returned?

These may be considered for return if they are completely unused, in original packaging, and written approval is requested within 48 hours of delivery. Returns are not guaranteed and remain at Bulila's discretion.

Who covers return shipping?

All return shipping is at the client's cost and risk. Returns must be approved in advance. Bulila is not responsible for damage during return transit.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are not standard practice. In approved cases, Bulila may offer a credit note or replacement at its discretion.

Products

Why do my products look slightly different from the images?

Variations in colour, texture, and finish are inherent to natural materials and are not considered defects. Each piece is handmade, so no two are exactly alike — these nuances are part of what makes every item special.

Are Bulila products made to last?

Yes. Our collections are deliberately small-scale. Everything we make is designed to be healthy for our bodies and the earth — to be kept, used, handed down, and loved for years. We never use synthetic or harmful materials.

Who makes Bulila products?

Each piece is made by hand by fairly paid artisans who are deeply knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. Their care is visible in every detail.

Our Values

Does Bulila use sustainable materials?

Always. All products are made using natural, sustainable materials. We do not use synthetic or harmful materials — this is a non-negotiable part of how we work.

What is Bulila's rewilding contribution?

€2 from every product sold goes to rewilding projects in the EU. We post half-yearly reports on our website so you can see the real-world impact of every purchase.

Are Bulila's artisans fairly paid?

Yes. Supporting fairly paid artisans is fundamental to the Bulila ethos. We believe quality craftsmanship should be valued — by us, and by the people who ultimately live with these objects.
