Marquetry

Straw marquetry is a rare decorative craft that transforms humble rye straw into a surface of natural luminosity. The straw used in these marquetry pieces is grown in Torrijos, Spain, by Rubin Fabuel, then harvested, cleaned, dyed and prepared by hand before being laid onto wood and finished with natural beeswax.
